Keeping the Humanities Magnificent in the Age of AI: A Faculty Roundtable on Pope Leo XIV’s Magnifica Humanitas

Earlier this year, Pope Leo XIV issued his first papal encyclical, entitled Magnifica Humanitas (“Magnificent Humanity”). This document (part of Catholic Social Teaching) - is focused on safeguarding the human person in the time of artificial intelligence. Writing about how we can “improve and beautify the world,” Leo calls us all to consider how we can best be communal human collaborators, instead of yielding to automation. A panel of professors across numerous academic disciplines will offer guidance on how to approach this teaching document with a critical, discerning lens. Featuring: Dr. N
