Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant welcomes the fall season with George Washington's Whiskey Dinner on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mount Vernon in Fairfax County, Virginia. This elegant four-course dinner pairs historic whiskey tastings with refined cuisine celebrating George Washington's distilling legacy. Guests experience the warmth of three styles of whiskey distilled at George Washington's Distillery & Gristmill: George Washington Rye Whiskey (unaged), George Washington Straight Rye Whiskey (aged 2–4 years), and George Washington Straight Rye Premium Whiskey (aged 4–8 years). The culinary journey begins with an amuse-bouche of whipped Gorgonzola Dolce with grilled fig, crisp prosciutto, and salted pepitas, followed by seared scallops with roasted macadamia nuts and blood orange sabayon. A sparkling apple cider and ginger granita intermezzo refreshes the palate before the main course of bistro filet with bone marrow whipped mash, apple-rye gastrique, and pickled sweet onion. Dinner concludes with mousse de Camembert and grilled apricots. Guests must be 21 or older to participate. Cost is $120 per person, pre-paid, plus 6% tax and 20% gratuity.
