Leroy the ghost loves his garden at Rosebud Manor. Every time a new family moves in, he greets them with a beautiful yellow rose, the flower of friendship. But no one understands what he's trying to say, and they always get scared away! Then one day, Tara-a girl who uses a device to talk-moves in. It turns out Tara knows just as much about plants as Leroy. Is it possible she speaks the language of flowers, too, and that Leroy has finally found someone who understands him? This sweet picture book celebrates the many different ways we communicate with each other, showing there's more than one way to find your voice and make a friend. About the Author: Emily Rosenthal (she/her) is a writer and illustrator based in Baltimore, Maryland. She loves ghosts, monsters, and all kinds of creatures, and frequently tells stories about them. When not coming up with stories, Emily plays soccer, watches scary movies, and snuggles with her cat. She’s thankful for everyone who has believed she has something important to say. Leroy Has Something to Say is her first picture book. About the Program: To attend in person please register here. Doors will open to registered attendees at 3pm. All registered in person attendees will receive a free copy of the book while supplies last. Free street parking is available along the side of the building.
