Opens October 30 with an opening event from 5-7pm at TAG, 200 Prince Street, Tappahannock, VA. The show will be open to the public Thursday - Saturday noon to 6pm, October 30 - November 21. ✨ About the Artists & Exhibition John Latell makes strong statements with his work, which is primarily made of metal. Karen Doyle creates soft fiber pieces in pastel shades from wool and thread. In a way they could not be more different, but they complement each other nicely in the art gallery. 🔩 John Latell will be showing contemporary sculptures in wood, metal, and paint using various processes including casting, forging, dyeing, carving, and enameling. These are deliberate forms borne from experiences in solitude and with loved ones. John says, “The work is about the arising of form and the reconciliation of conditions.” John studied sculpture at VCU in Richmond, VA before going to Pittsburgh in the mid 90’s for creative work in local industrial sites. He returned to Virginia more than twenty years ago and established Wicomico Forge Gardenworks and Northern Neck Railings and Gates as businesses that support his fine art work. 🧶…
