Terms of Service
Last updated October 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Planit (planitsocialapp.com) when you use our website or app. We've tried to keep them short and in plain English. By creating an account or using Planit, you agree to them.
1. What Planit is
Planit — “Real events. Real people.” — lists things to do in the cities it covers (currently the DMV). Event listings are gathered automatically from public sources such as venue and organizer websites and public calendars, and each listing links back to its source.
Browsing is free and doesn't need an account. With an account you can save events, get reminders, comment, add friends and share events with them.
2. Event information comes from others
We don't organize, sell tickets for or run any of the events we list. Times, prices, locations and availability can change or be wrong. Always check with the organizer (use the source link on each event) before you go or buy anything. We aren't responsible for events themselves, for what happens at them, or for purchases you make from third parties.
If you run an event or venue and want a listing corrected or removed, email us at support@planitsocialapp.com.
3. Who can use Planit
- You must be 13 or older to create an account. If you're under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is OK with you using Planit.
- You must give a real email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Don't impersonate anyone or pick a @handle meant to mislead.
4. Your content and community rules
"Your content" means anything you post: your profile (name, @handle, photo, bio, area), comments, replies and notes on shared events. You keep ownership of it. You give Planit a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display and deliver it within the service so the features work (for example, showing your comment to other users). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we keep as described in the Privacy Policy.
When you post, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully or target anyone, or post hateful content about people based on who they are;
- post sexual content, graphic violence, or anything involving minors in a sexual or harmful way;
- post spam, scams, ads, or misleading links;
- share someone else's private information (addresses, phone numbers, etc.) without permission;
- post content you don't have the right to share, or break the law;
- try to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of the service.
5. Reporting, blocking and moderation
You can report comments and people, and block anyone. Blocking hides you from each other across the app.
We review reports and aim to respond within 24 hours. We may remove content, clear profile fields or photos, or suspend or remove accounts that break these rules — with or without notice, at our discretion. For anything urgent or not covered by the in-app tools, email support@planitsocialapp.com.
We filter some offensive words automatically, but we don't pre-screen everything people post and we can't promise we'll catch everything.
6. Notifications
If you turn on reminders or other notifications, we'll send push notifications to that device (for example, a reminder before an event you saved, or when a friend shares an event with you). You can turn them off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Settings → Delete account. What happens to your data is explained in the Privacy Policy. We may also close accounts that have broken these terms.
8. The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep Planit useful and running, but we provide it "as is" without warranties of any kind, and it may change, have errors or be unavailable at times. To the fullest extent the law allows, Planit and the people who run it aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from events listed on the service or from other users' content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Planit after that, you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute about them or about Planit, are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Any lawsuit about these terms or Planit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. If you live somewhere whose consumer laws give you rights that can't be waived, this section doesn't take those rights away.
Before going to court, please email us first. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.
